What is this place?
It's a website for and by teachers. It has success stories, that golden lesson plan day, the not-so-good day, and the journey of teachers from near and far. Not only is this a website, but it is a community. We are here to share our vision and our adventures with each other for inspiration, insight, and even a good laugh.
Why did you create this website?
As I was frantically searching for a website that accepted blog posts about teaching (as I was in dire need to have multiple people read my ranting), I realized one crucial aspect- there wasn't any. So, one cold Tuesday afternoon, I decided that this just wouldn't do, and I was going to make my own.
Uh, I'm pretty sure there actually are websites that accept educational blog posts.
Educational- yes. There are plenty of websites dedicated to education. This website is designed specifically for teachers to talk about... well, anything. Want to rant about your day? Blog about it. Want to tell everyone that the Grade 3 lesson you did on plants worked really well? Blog about it. This is more informal, and fun!
Want to write more educational related topics? Check out voicEd.ca. Link on the homepage. (You may see more of me there as well, because you clearly haven't had enough).
Okay fine, but who are you?
I'm Karaline, and I love being a teacher...maybe too much. I specialize in primary/junior grades, and I have a certification in ABA therapy as well. I have been a tutor for countless years at many establishments. I podcast, I blog, and I'm a certified coffee addict. I do a lot of things, and honestly, I probably forgot to name a few. My goal through this website is to provide teachers with a healthy outlet to vent, to praise, and to be part of a community that we can all call home.
Great. I think I like this place. Now what?
Check it out, read some stuff. Want to write? Email me in the contact section, and I will be more than happy to have you on board. I can't wait to hear your teacher tales.
